Aura Minerals Posts Record Q3 Output, but Q4 Still Carries the Load

Aura Minerals Soars 10% as Record Q3 Gold Output Marks “A Clear Step Up”

Aura Minerals produced a record 95,557 gold-equivalent ounces in the third quarter, up 27% sequentially and 29% year over year. The MSG and Borborema ramps improved the picture, while three mines still lagged.

Aura Minerals delivered its strongest production quarter on record, producing 95,557 gold-equivalent ounces in the third quarter of 2026. Output rose 27% from the second quarter and 29% from a year earlier, while nine-month production also reached a company record.

The headline matters because Aura entered the second half needing newer and recovering operations to carry more of the portfolio. MSG produced 13,321 gold-equivalent ounces, up 85% from the prior quarter as higher grades, better recoveries and more ore through the plant improved results. Borborema contributed a record 22,842 ounces and was the largest source of incremental production.

A record with uneven contributions

The portfolio was not uniformly stronger. Minosa, Almas and Apoena each produced less than a year earlier. Management said operational responses are underway, including normalized stacking at Minosa and access to higher-grade ore at Almas and Apoena.

That makes the fourth quarter important. Chief Executive Rodrigo Barbosa said Aura expects another production increase and remains on track for full-year guidance. Meeting that goal will require the ramps at MSG and Borborema to continue while the weaker mines stabilize.

The figures are preliminary and production is only one side of the earnings equation. Investors still need final sales, realized gold prices, costs, sustaining capital and working-capital data. Gold-equivalent-ounce calculations also depend on commodity-price assumptions, so the production measure should not be treated as revenue.

What the quarter changes

The record output reduces concern that Aura's growth projects are failing to translate into physical production. MSG's improvement is especially relevant because underground development and ore blending are central to its move toward full capacity. The result also gives management more room to absorb underperformance elsewhere.

It does not eliminate execution risk. A miner can produce more ounces and still disappoint if costs rise faster, recoveries weaken or guidance depends on a large final-quarter step. The next full earnings release should show whether higher volume improved margins and cash generation, not merely tonnage.

For now, the evidence supports a positive operational reading. Aura has demonstrated that its expanded asset base can produce at a record rate. The next test is whether it can repeat that performance, repair the lagging mines and convert the higher output into durable free cash flow.
